Be Fruitful & Multiply: Covenant Command & Context. Few commands have been quoted and misapplied as much as “Be fruitful and multiply.” It is found at the very beginning of the Bible and again after the flood. For some, it has become a timeless mandate for all believers in every age. Prosperity preachers even invoke it as a guarantee of personal blessing, expansion, or success. But is this command universal, or was it covenantal and contextual?

Paul’s Thorn in the Flesh: Weakness, Faith, and God’s Strength. Few passages have sparked as much debate as Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 12:7–10: “So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, ‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’”

Pentecostalism: Fire, Experience, and Doctrinal Drift. Pentecostalism is one of the fastest-growing religious movements in the world, boasting hundreds of millions of adherents. It emphasizes the “baptism of the Holy Spirit,” speaking in tongues, miraculous healing, and revivalistic worship. For many, it represents a return to the book of Acts — a Christianity full of power and supernatural vitality.

Faith and the False Gospel: What Scripture Actually Teaches. In churches across the world, a damaging and deceptive theology is being preached: if you’re not healed, it must be because you lack faith. The so-called "Word of Faith" or prosperity gospel has redefined biblical faith into a tool for getting what you want from God. In this twisted system, faith becomes a transaction, and suffering becomes a punishment for spiritual failure. But Scripture tells a different story.

Prosperity Gospel: The Faithless Gospel. The Prosperity Gospel promises much and delivers little. It is the message of worldly gain dressed in spiritual language, offering earthly reward in exchange for faith. Yet the biblical Gospel promises something altogether different: suffering in this life, glory in the next (Romans 8:18). The so-called "Word of Faith" movement is, in reality, a faithless gospel — rooted not in the unseen hope of Hebrews 11, but in the seen and tempora
